“ He could take responsibility, he loved people, loved life, always maintained his physical condition, was fond of sports. After talking with him, there was always inspiration. Pankov expressed deep condolences to Kvashnin's relatives. “ His whole life was devoted to the protection of our Fatherland, strengthening the country's defense and the development of the Armed Forces of Russia '', & ndash; he said, noting the general's invaluable personal contribution to the defeat of bandit formations and the restoration of constitutional order in the North Caucasus.

Anatoly Kvashnin died from the effects of the coronavirus at the age of 75.
