The Armed Forces of Ukraine made a wandering mortar crew from their boat, which fired at the positions of Russian troops. After a fire raid, the boat immediately went to a considerable distance. But the main purpose of the air defense system is for air defense of formations and units of the ground forces from attacks by aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, remotely piloted aircraft and other means of air attack. Moreover, it works at all heights.
Soviet short-range anti-aircraft missile system “Osa” was put into service in 1971. It is capable of hitting almost any air targets at altitudes from 50 to 5,000 meters at a distance of up to 10 kilometers, even in the face of significant enemy electronic countermeasures. The all-round radar has a high degree of protection against interference. It solves the problem of detecting air targets and gives out their location coordinates.
The target tracking station also has active protection against interference. It captures and auto-tracks targets in terms of angular coordinates and range and gives the exact current coordinates to the computing device (CDS).
The CRP solves the problem of meeting missiles with a predictive target trajectory, based on the information received, it generates data for timely missile launch. The reaction time of the complex is from 16 to 26 seconds, which is quite a lot for modern air assets.
«Osa» also has good autonomy and patency. The chassis is three-axle & nbsp; and is equipped with a water jet for movement on water. The deployment time of the complex is 3 minutes, during the same time it can be rolled up. To defeat air targets, they must be in optical visibility.
The crew includes 4 people, weight 17.5 tons. The speed of hit targets is up to 500 m/s. The complex works in any weather. It is also possible to fire two missiles at one target.
